Charges Against Sanjai Syamaprasad

Authorities from the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office recently charged Sanjai Syamaprasad, a former employee of the Northwell Sleep Disorders Center, with secretly recording patients and coworkers in bathroom areas over an 18-month period. The hidden camera, disguised as a smoke detector, was placed in multiple bathrooms, including those used by children.

Syamaprasad allegedly filmed hundreds of victims without their knowledge or consent. The violation of privacy extended to vulnerable patients seeking medical care in a trusted facility.

Following a coworker reporting suspicious activity,

law enforcement removed Syamaprasad from the center and launched an investigation. He faces multiple charges, including unlawful surveillance, and has pleaded not guilty. The case remains under investigation, with potential connections to

similar incidents at a Manhattan sleep center.
